CAN PORCELAIN VENEERS BE WHITENED?

You should think of the material which veneers are made of like an expensive fine china plate or coffee cup in essence it is the same material so therefore they can’t be stained or whitened. CAN PORCELAIN VENEERS BE REMOVED?

Yes, you can put a veneer over a crown. However not recommended since the cost of doing that would be the same as replacing the crown. You are better off just changing the crown because when you veneer a crown now you have more points of possible failure.

Yes, if you are able to break your own tooth, and teeth are made of the strongest material in our bodies, you can break a veneer. Veneers can break if you bite into something really hard for example edge of a fork, sunflower seeds or crab legs.

However, the tooth itself covered by the veneer can get them, the good news most of the cavities can be fixed since the veneer is only covering the front of the tooth. Veneers can not replace a missing tooth because a veneer is only a covering of a tooth. A three unit bridge using veneers on the adjacent teeth can be made however in most cases not recommended since most veneers are made of thin material for esthetic reasons the connection to fake tooth is thin and can be broken and not fixable. A much better option such as a dental implant is available.
